These partner terms have changed as of 24/09/2026.

Existing partners are not affected.

These terms have changed for easier understanding, and for more benefits for both HVL and the upcoming partner.

Terminology

A partner is an entity (another Discord server, social media profile, etc.) that works alongside, or is related to Hurstville Lurkers.

Works alongside --> Both HVL and the partner share a goal (e.g connect a local community, being Hurstville or somewhere close by), and are both working with each other to reach said goal
Related to --> HVL and the partner are related to each other in some way (e.g similar members, derivative, fan group, etc.)

Do note that our partner system is different from your standard "Discord Partnering Bot That Makes Partnering Easy As Cake", or slapping on a server aesthetic to one channel and calling it a day. We follow a whole different system.

In general

All these terms aren't taken too seriously, but we do strive for a certain quality when collabing with Hurstville Lurkers. This isn't a big legal agreement - just a little side thing if you want to be afflicted with Hurstville Lurkers.

Please do consider what we both gain from collabing, and whether the collab itself is reasonable.
For example, you wouldn't want to collab with an Australian server if you're an American server.

HVL reserves the right to revoke collabs or partners, with or without reason. Regardless, you will be notified, and we will send you a request to revoke us from your server/social media/etc. so that the revoke is mutual.

You are free to ask about the following terms with no commitment [to partnering]. (You are also encouraged to if you want to partner as well! these terms may be confusing, so ask away!)

Requirements

Requirements are handled on a case by case basis. Some partners may not explicitly meet these requirements.

For Discord servers, your server should:

• Be public/semi-public (invite only, but open to all)

• Have at least 25 members, inclusive of yourself, and exclusive of bots

• Follow the relevant platforms' Terms of Service

• Has reasonable rules (no nsfw, no racism, toxicity limited, etc.)

• Open to all ages (except those under 13 of course)

For social media profiles (such as YouTube channels, Instagram, Tiktok etc.), you should:

• Make sure your account is public (not private)

• Have at least 25 followers, subscribers, or whatever equivalent on your platform

• Follow the relevant platforms' Terms of Service

• Ensure your content is for all ages (except for under 13s) (i.e no 18+ content)

• Posts content that would mostly adhere to the server rules

You'll also need:

• An actual relationship with HVL as a whole (we're not gonna just accept random partnership requests, sorry!)

• A clear motive of why you want to collab, and knowledge of what both parties will gain from said partnership

•

How to Collab

DM @hvlurkers on Discord or send an email to hvl<at>etangaming<dot>xyz, with:

• Your server name and an invite link / Your social media username + platform

• A brief description of your server / channel / profile. Keep it short, no "fancy formatting", please.

• Why you wish to collab (be specific! list your points, and benefits of both parties)

• How your partnership will work (will it be slapping it in a channel? will it be an announcement?)

Once you've gotten the approval...

• Add Hurstville Lurkers to wherever you place your partners in.

  • In the case of a Discord server, we recommend a dedicated #partners channel, though, if you're fancypants and have a website for said server you may do so there as well. Do note that our definition of a dedicated #partners channel is for actual partners, not a 'glorified advertising space'.

  • If your social media profile permits an extended "about me" section, please place:
"Partner of Hurstville Lurkers • hvl.etangaming.xyz"
    in your about me.
    Otherwise, read on.

• Please do make an announcement saying you've collabed with Hurstville Lurkers, with a link to the home page of this website at [https://hvl.etangaming.xyz]. We will also do the same, announcing your server/channel, with a brief description (the one you provided), and a link to your server's homepage (if applicable), otherwise a redirect to a provided invite link.

• Or, in the case of a social media platform, please make a post/video saying you've collabed with Hurstville lurkers, including a description of this server, the server's icon, the text "hvl.etangaming.xyz", and, if possible, the link to [https://hvl.etangaming.xyz]. HVL will then send an announcement, with a brief description of your social media profile and a direct link.

Cool! But what do I get?

Your server will be added to the Partners page, as well as being added to the #partners channel in the Hurstville Lurkers Discord. An announcement will also be created, mentioning your server/profile, as well as a brief description.

You might also get a few more server members or fans, depending on whether our fellow Hurstville Lurkers decide to join or take a look!

You'll also get:

• Opportunities to host events within/with Hurstville Lurkers

...and other perks to be added!
